I completed my dental training in 2004 at the University of Western Australia. Since then I have been working in both private and government practice, and have also worked at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and areas of professional interest include Preventive Dentistry, Minimal Intervention and Restorative Dentistry, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry including Teeth Whitening, INVISALIGN, Veneers, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures and Implants. I am trained and accredited in both the surgical and prosthetic aspects of Implant Dentistry, which often means I can manage the whole process of tooth replacement without the need for specialist referral. I am committed to ensuring my patients receive the best level of care possible and I work with specialists in all fields. I am also trained and accredited in treating patient’s suffering from Snoring and Sleep Apnoea and I also work with Medical Specialists including Sleep Physicians and ENT Surgeons.
I am a member of the Australian Dental Association and Christian Medical and Dental Fellowship of Australia. Up until recently I have been working as an Honorary Clinical Consultant for the UWA School of Dentistry. Over the past four years I have also had the privilege to be involved in aid trips to the slums of Kenya, remote hospitals in India, and orphanages in Indonesia.
On a personal note, I am married and my hobbies include snowboarding, surfing, basketball, soccer, music and travelling.
For me, my main aim as a dentist is to help prevent you having dental problems in the first place. This involves equipping you with the right knowledge to minimize your future risks of problems, finding a preventive plan that will work for you, and getting you into our preventive program with our great team of dental hygienists. What I like best about dentistry is the combination of both the art and science, in restoring people back to optimum oral health and function. There is nothing that I do as a dentist that could make me happier than making my patient’s happy with their smiles and able to eat and enjoy their favourite foods. This process may often be as simple as fixing one or two problem teeth, or may be as complicated as a full mouth reconstruction or rehabilitation.
I am passionate about helping my patients make informed decisions regarding their treatment and minimizing future dental requirements by preventing problems before they occur. I look forward to providing you and your family with the highest quality of care in a friendly and relaxed environment.
